up next:
-boat in the port
-some trees, grass, ...
-detail objects like flags some more cars
-some houses, maybe a big appartement
-creating sailing and walking zone: takes a lot of work.

I don't really know when it is going to be finished but i will take some more time.

Open photoshop and open the "island_20.png" file you will find in the "Windsurfing MMX\media\materials\textures" directory.

There are these lines in "island.material" in "Windsurfing MMX\media\materials\scripts" :

material island20
{
technique
{
pass
{
ambient 1 1 1
diffuse 1 1 1
scene_blend alpha_blend
specular 0 0 0 1 10
alpha_rejection greater_equal 170

texture_unit
{
texture_alias 0
texture island_20.png
tex_address_mode clamp clamp
}

i think the problem is that the background isnt an object but is included in the landscape

not that good.
I have not so much motivation, because the game won't develop anymore.
I still have some old problems wich are not solved.

I'll see what i do with it

okay i will start working again on the project in 2012 because of the exams.
There's a lot of work to do left that really needs to be done before you can even play the game properly.

Sorry for this major delay

but I hope it will be finished as soon as possible after newyear.
I will see how much extra things i will implement based on how motivated i will be. But you know, At that time it's freezing cold in here so I guess it will become a fun location.

You can also post here some nice ideas if you want and i'll take a look at it then.

Greetings!

also a few tips for placing the location in the game:
- Make the beach parallel with the y-axis in blender, thats the easiest way because you don't have to start rotating.

- Try to put the 0 point in blender on top of the mesh, and let the player begin in the point x=0 z=0 y= doesn't matter (in the text file custom_location_2). Now you'll find your location very easily.
