Connection Problems?

Post by Jerome » Thu Sep 21, 2006 6:02 pm

Aloha everybody,

if anyone has problems when setting up his connection to play multiplayer games ("Error" when testing the connection with the button inside the game), you should check the following:

- is there a firewall blocking ports 27015 and/or 27016?

- if you have dsl, you should set your router sothat ports 27015 and 27016 ( in UDP Protocol ! ) are forwarded to the computer you are playing on.

If there is any question regarding this, please ask in this forum!

Cheers,

Hello Jérôme,

I have this error

I have opened both ports in the firewall (both UDP) but what do you mean by "set your router..." ?
I have ADSL with the Alice box. Is this the router you mean ? but how do I manage to configure it ?

Thanks and sorry I'm frustrated not playing network yet

Hi Hervé,

try this version:
http://www.windsurfing-the-game.com/fil ... g_2007.rar

it has an automatic port selection... does the test work now?
